We will be back soon! Hope you have found our free sites useful or entertaining in the past. We are temporarily out of service (50 domains are down as result) due to our Dell PowerEdge 2900 (4 dual 2GHz CPU, 4GB RAM) server suffered damage disks during a electrical storm (Saturday, Aug 24, 2008) and power outages. The server needs to have new disks and I cannot afford them right this moment. Please give me a few days to figure out something in the mean time. Right now I am trying to fight to recover files off the damaged drives (hard as all my other desktop PCs cannot read SAS drives) as my backups are a few weeks old and I want the last 3 weeks recovered...
Our server is a specialized unit (cost $4,500 in 2006) that takes very expensive harddrives (see for yourself on EBay, I need 2 @ 73GB 15K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive), I NEED AN EXTRA FEW HUNDRED BUCKS (hint, hint) some how to get these drives soon (I can save enough to be able to buy near the end of September)! Not only do I need one, but with the RAID1 SAS drive systems, 2 hard drives act as one so both need to be replaced so they are exact duplicates.
So far (Aug 29, 2008), I have accumulated $285 in donations towards these new drives (THANKS)! If you can help out with some "spare change", I will gladly give something back in return. I have many sites that get tonnes of visitors where I could run ads for you, I could help you with a small web project, maybe give you some hosting, let me know what you what, I can probably do it!
